After trying a horrible replacement cartridge from the manufacturer Hot Cartridge or similar, I settled on the original HP Photoblack which caused no problems. The other never worked in the printer, three cartridges and each never worked, was not recognized by the HP 564 and while not expensive was still a waste of money as all three had to be thrown away. Spending a lot of money on a basic ink cartridge is difficult, but in this case it was worth it. Some aftermarket cartridges work pretty well (Jarbo springs to mind) but not all. So if you have the money, choose the original, otherwise the buyer will be wary of some others.
