I don't print much, I bought the ink in June, now it's October and I already need photo black ink. I think part of the fault is with the printer, if it's not on photo paper it should be using regular black ink, not the smaller photo black. I have just ordered two more cartridges after seeing that they expired in 2013 (see photo at bottom of info page). Bought the black cartridge on 07/16/19. I needed black to print some documents. Less than 10 copies. But it prints well. A month later I had to print copies again. Imagine my surprise when I went to the copy and received partial and faded copies. I tried again and got a blank copy. I checked the ink levels and was very surprised to see the low black ink level. After trying a horrible replacement cartridge from the manufacturer Hot Cartridge or similar, I settled on the original HP Photoblack which caused no problems. The other never worked in the printer, three cartridges and each never worked, was not recognized by the HP 564 and while not expensive was still a waste of money as all three had to be thrown away. If this cartridge was made in the USA with US wages, then yes, buy it. Actually buy two. But it's not shameful. HP is screwing us here. You can buy a complete set of 4 cartridges for less than what it costs. If ever there was a law against something, this would be a perfect example. Don't buy this! I ordered all the ink I needed for this printer and replaced EVERYTHING except 'photo ink'. The photo ink on my display is 3/4 full and I still don't want to print photos.
