The ruler is thin, the markers are anodized and easily damaged in the tool box, so I proudly keep mine on the tool board. For a bike mechanic on a budget who just wants to measure spokes, get the Park Tool Spoke, Bearing, and Cottergauge. It is more durable and costs 4 times less than this one.
