Way too wide, never actually fit

I bought these, they were way too big, returned for a smaller size, still too big, but I figured she'd grow into them. Well, she briefly fit lengthwise but they are so wide they constantly slipped off. Now they're getting tight lengthwise and they're STILL so wide that they slip off. Would return if I didn't blow past the return window while waiting for her feet to grow into them.
