8 volts, not 4.5: fish and aquatic animals
I bought this to power a 4.5 volt lamp, not specifically for an aquarium. I received the product and the sealed plastic packaging was previously opened which made me suspicious. Before connecting it to my flashlight, I checked the voltage with two different multimeters. Both read 8 volts, not 4.5. I'm so glad I checked it out because it would probably burn out my LED quickly. Raven sent me a replacement. Keep for updates. I will update this review and rating based on the performance of the replacement.
