4/12 Update: I have the 16L and it suits her better so we're keeping this one (blue in the pics). We're going to the Eastern Sierra next weekend and I'm sure it'll be nice and warm! We have a 21 pound Chihuahua/Jack Russell mix, but she's exactly the same shape as a Whippet, only smaller (not exactly a Small Italian Greyhound). ). She measures 18 from the withers to the base of the tail, 20.5 around the chest and 13 at the neck. We ordered 18L, they fit but seem a bit long (see photo) and when she walks her hind legs slide right over hers Tiny feet so they ordered 16L and will return it if it doesn't fit. If we keep 18L we will need to sew on small snaps or something to hold the hind legs. We visit the Eastern Sierra about once a month and I think it would be perfect. She'll need something more waterproof for a real blizzard, but for the most part it should be fine. will be updated once we get the smaller size.
