Although this coat is made for tall skinny greyhounds, my long haired German shepherd sometimes gets muddy ice on his legs and stomach. It was the only coat I could find that fully covered her legs and stomach. So I took a chance and ordered the largest size and it works fine. She doesn't need it for warmth, but for dryness. The suit is great for my Whippet/Lab mix. It's hard to find a good fit as it's narrower. I think most of the negative reviews from people who haven't read it relate to the sleek dog! Got 28 liters for my 90lb American Staffordshire Terrier. He has a very deep chest and thick neck, so this size is tight on his front half and loose on his back half. All I had to do was roll up the sleeves in the back and it was ok, but the elastic at the hem just as well kept it from falling off.
