I use these ACs in front of the UPS in my house. UPS protect your TV, PC, router, etc. from power failure/failure. The UPS cannot detect the difference between mains voltage and generator voltage while the mains conditioners are running. It must be at least a year since I bought it. I use it to power my premium video capable imac. There is a difference in performance. I overload my imac with a few hubs due to random crap like interfaces, jubi keys, pentablets etc. This helped the car a lot. I would buy it again when it comes out. A good thing. No problem with that. (PS plug it straight into an outlet, if you use a crappy power strip or shoddy surge protector you'll get a lot of power drops.)
