I build and work on tube amps. I was expecting more from direct 120V regulation but apparently the boost/buck doesn't work until it's higher than anything I've seen in terms of voltage before. I discovered this recently when my electric heater in the shop was cranked up to full power and the voltage in the shop dropped to 113 volts on the wall. I then checked the voltage of this one and it was exactly the same. The "BOOST" light was also not on. So I checked the description again and it says "Increases input voltage below 102V by 13.4%. Reduces input voltage above 130V by 10.4%." I got a lot closer to 130 on an average day V as ever seen anything close to 102V, but all I understand is that this doesn't "support" 120V as a normal function.
