I only used it for 3 short round trips so 6ft. It never stayed set longer than 10 miles. I have a suction cup phone that has worked for years, but this one has trouble staying in place for 10 minutes. Not sure why this one is so awful, maybe because it's really small for a 7 inch GPS? But the back of the GPS is configured so that only this mount "works". It's a round piece that goes into the back of the GPS, then a ball that pops out into a suction cup, it's the glass that fell off, then a very smooth flat piece of metal on the dashboard and on the dashboard itself what is like a slab of rosewood with a glassy finish that my phone has been attached to with a suction cup for years. And the way the mount is set up I don't know how to get the velcro to stick to the surface and the GPS. But the power button is on the back of the device. So how do you turn it on when it's bolted to the dash? It's just terrible design. But even when testing, if you attach it to the glass at home, as soon as you get home it falls off the glass. And I live in Texas, not California, so my house doesn't shake, it's not a mobile home, brick houses don't move much even in the wind. I don't drive you to the truck entrance as advertised, at least not the three I've used it on, if I didn't know where to go it would be expensive, time and mileage. Also, every GPS I use gets me back to my yard on freeways that take me back onto local roads less than a mile from my yard. He wants me to get out and drive 4.6 miles through an area where trucks are "allowed" but no trucks are allowed. As a local, I have driven this route before when there was an accident on the Autobahn, but then only when the Autobahn was either very poorly secured or closed. All this to shorten the journey by 2 km, although depending on the time of day with all the traffic lights this would take almost 30 minutes longer. its incessant ping and for 3 of my 24 days of data usage it accounts for 10% of my total data usage. So I had to uninstall the app as it doesn't work well with Galaxy Note 9, Android 10, One UI 2.1. This will prevent me from getting traffic information for it. But the Bluetooth part keeps disconnecting my headset from the phone and trying to relay phone calls via GPS even though I've denied it access to make calls, which is weird. I keep getting reports of the phone slowing down, using a lot of data etc. Ok the screen is bright and I can read it with my sunglasses on. It looks really good and seems small for its screen size.
