Not worth the money, would not recommend this product.

I wanted to buy a Navitel navigator: either T737 or E707. Before that, I used a regular car navigator: everything is simple there - you don’t even need to read the instructions, clearly - and there are satellites and navigation accuracy at the level, voice prompts - in advance, etc. I read reviews on the navitel and realized that you don’t need to buy it so as not to have problems and not waste time solving them. Can anyone tell me - which navigator is better to buy, so that with a large…

My money is wasted, the product is terrible.

The impressions are terrible. You go and constantly worry where he will lead you with his voices. You left the route - this is generally (a masterpiece) I have one question ! And the (geniuses) of programming this (masterpiece) themselves tried to ride around St. Petersburg, after St. Petersburg. Especially when you drive up to toll roads, and this creation yells YOU GONE OFF THE ROUTE, and you have no plans to go on a toll road. At least they asked how to bring their (miracle) to mind, since…

Pros
  • There would be many advantages if people tried to bring navigation to mind.
Cons
  • I have been using it for several years and the jambs are the same throughout this time. A vile attitude towards their customers. Technical support, if you can call it that, does not respond to comments at all. They erase comments and questions on their forum. It's a shame, probably, to be read . Navigation is crude and often behaves inappropriately. Alena's voice, which by default is like from a cellar. Does the sound engineer have an idea about recording? Ilya's voice constantly yells YOU GOT OFF THE ROUTE, even if there was nowhere to go. Other voices appear in the options, but they categorically do not work.

Replaces 255 with 1390LMT

Update Had to replace the device as it was resetting and restarting at random times. I have ridden cross country and lost the GPS 6 times in 5 days and 3000 miles was a problem to say the least. Most of the time I was able to reboot the system, and on several occasions I had to shut down and wait several hours for it to work. Bought another Garmin unit and fingers crossed." Old review below. Considering the price of map upgrades I decided to upgrade my 255 to the 1390LMT Pro: Lane view is great

Pros
  • Dope 🔥

The new Garmin: GPS, viewfinder and accessories

Our old Garmin worked well, but there were no free updates. This model appeared to have a wider screen and as a bonus, it had free maps and traffic for life. Can't see traffic yet - maybe it's a setting I haven't found yet. The first time I used it, something was set with the word traffic, so I'm pretty sure it's enabled. Works similar to the old Garmin. I'm not 100% sure I like it, but it does more things to get used to. The screen is definitely more responsive, as is toggling between menus…

Over the years we have bought MANY of these GPS, Garmin, TOM TOM etc devices and thought they were great until we bought a car with a NAV system built in . take it from me Get a built-in NAV system. They are better. If you don't have one and don't want to buy a new car, we love GARMIN GPS devices and choose the ones that come with FREE LIFETIME updates. often as I should and it's a hassle to update them in different places. but they usually give the right instructions, and if they don't, it's…

Touch sensitivity is terrible

I've had 3 nuvi before, 350 and 360 so I know Garmin but the touch sensitivity of this one annoyed me to no end. My wife said the other day that if I hadn't spent so much money on it she would have thrown it on the floor and smashed it to bits, pretty harsh words from a gentle lady like Clark Kent. Luckily I'm returning it to Revain for a full refund, don't know what I'll do next but it may have forced me to use my smartphone all the time. I really wish the extra dash was separate from the…

I really love nüvi, having used TomTom for a few years.

. I've had a TomTom One XL for a few years, but I was really annoyed at the idea of paying for new map updates every quarter. I bought nüvi because of the price and the lifetime map updates. I took it with me on several business trips, from southern Arizona to central Nevada. The traffic updates are really helping to move Phoenix and Las Vegas forward. Sometimes I-10 has nasty sandstorms and the freeway is closed. Having traffic information is great because I can either find a detour or sit…

does crazy stuff at times

I bought this unit before going on vacation to a lot of places hoping it would save me the hassle of constantly looking at a map. The block worked most of the time and the instructions are very clear. It also has nice features like junction view, traffic information, as well as points of interest that I can use to find gas stations, hotels, etc. However, the device tends to get confused from time to time. For example, in central San Francisco, probably due to high-rise buildings, it completely…

Only buy Garmin: Car GPS

I've had several Garmins, this is the newest. Everything worked fine, the only criticism is the battery life. I'm not sure as I haven't done it for a test run yet. Maps are crisp and satellite acquisition is faster than the previous model. The voice is louder too, which is a nice change as the other model was a bit difficult to hear at times. The power cord connects directly to the device. I always take the GPS off when I park, so I'm not sure if that would make a difference, but I liked being…

Overall a good car GPSr

I'm more familiar with Garmin On The Trail models like the eTrex, GPSMAP and Legend units, but the learning curve with this Nuvi 1390LMT "On the Road" is pretty easy. I bought it because it offers lifetime map updates and lifetime VHF traffic. The traffic function proved not to be as accurate and is rarely relative as I don't drive in large metropolitan areas. But if you live in a big city like New York or Chicago, I imagine that would be very beneficial. The map update function works quite…

Good GPS unit.: GPS, finder and accessories

I bought the 1390LMT to replace my old NUVI 350 which was stolen from my car. My 350 was over 4 years old, the maps were outdated, the speaker didn't work, but I paid $600 for it, a steal at the time. I used my NUVI instead of cards for several years and was looking for a replacement before the theft. This is what I was considering and found it on a lightning deal I couldn't refuse. I paid less than $200 for this unit and shipping was fast and hassle free. Unboxing the unit is easy but I…
