Wow. It works out. It really works! I recently bought a new house and everything was great except all the toilets had very dirty tanks and bowls. The house had very hard water until the previous owners installed a water softener. When we first looked at the house we both thought the toilets just needed a really good cleaning. Two months later I had no idea what cleaners to try next because nothing seemed to help. With three toilets in the house, all of which were pretty dirty, I was getting desperate. It seemed like our only choice was to replace every toilet bowl. I bought Scotch Corporation 1806 Instant Power Tank Cleaner and it was amazing! The next thing I had to deal with were the bowls. I searched and decided on Pumie because of the many positive reviews. When I received it I was sure I had made a mistake. How could I use pumice stone, which is such an abrasive, on something like porcelain? I came back here to see the reviews again. After reading some testimonials from people who also seemed cautious but reported good results, I gave it a try. At first I cleaned so lightly I wasn't even sure I could get the dust off. As soon as I started applying a little pressure I started to see some of the stains disappear. I soon started applying a lot of elbow grease and like magic the stains disappeared. When I started cleaning the second toilet, I immediately started rubbing very hard. It took about 10 minutes to clean the toilet shown in the photo I've added to this review. I don't know how, but the porcelain has no dents or deep scratches. After cleaning three toilets, I still have about half of that stone. Left. Not sure I'll ever need it again as as I mentioned the house now has a water softener but it's nice to know I have one. It was worth it!
