Review on Sansonic FT 300A Digital Analog Converter by Nick Kirschenmann

I originally went to Target to buy a replacement unit but they didn't have a Sansonic unit so I bought what they had. When I opened the box at home I discovered the converter was cheap plastic so I sent it back and then bought the Sansonic which is metal through Revain. Is this my third transducer (of the same brand) since 2009? I can't remember exactly when we switched to digital. I didn't throw away my previous converter box (of the same brand) because I wanted to see what went wrong: the box or the cable. To my surprise it was the cable (it comes from the device) so I'll try to find another one at a thrift store unless someone knows where I can buy a cable for it.
