My mirrors shine!: Homeware

A friend sent me one of these a few years ago and I've had it ever since. They are amazing! They do the BEST job of cleaning mirrors, they don't leave streaks. My husband uses them to dry his shower. There are so many ways to use them and when they get dirty we just toss them in the washing machine for other dirty jobs. They last a long time and are a great alternative to paper towels. You will feel comfortable with it and your mirrors will shine. Just follow the instructions that come with the product. Revane says I've ordered them 10 times and I know I bought them direct from Glyn too. I want to make this update for two reasons. First, we all have stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. I was so afraid of them that I even made my husband put on white cotton gloves every time he opened the fridge or microwave. I knew fingerprints would haunt me forever and I hated those devices. I've read all about stainless steel cleaning. They have a matte finish, no shine. But they have headlights on them. Some stainless steel cleaners will darken the finish of your equipment. Then I remembered our old stainless steel appliances in the previous house. I wiped them off with a wet tea towel that had been wrung out as best I could. So I opened up a new Gleen cloth and started cleaning the fridge, then the stove, dishwasher, and microwave. WOW! That's all I can say. Clay is all I use. The secret is to constantly rinse the rag and try to keep the water as hot as possible. My tech looks brand new and it's been 5 years. I also use these clothes on our old Corian countertops. They're dark, and paper towels leave lint on them and anything rust-free. I love Glen cleaning towels. For me they do a great job. No fingerprints, no lint. If your countertops are dirty or sticky, use your favorite cleaner, then wipe down with a clean Gleen cloth. This will help get rid of paper towel lint that sticks to anything made of stainless steel. I bought another more expensive brand to try. They came as a set and each fabric had its own purpose. I love my Gleen and will never switch to any other product. No chemicals. Just water and clay. Very easy.
