I like this tray. Sometimes I have to sit on my feet because it's a bit tall for me (I'm 5ft 2in). Strong? Not for a bed, especially if you share a bed and your significant other is still asleep. used with a laptop. When the laptop is open, the shelf tips over due to the weight. I don't feel comfortable putting a cup of coffee on the tray. It's well built and looks great. I love waking up on a Saturday morning, my coffee (which I keep on my bedside table), my laptop and I just read the week's news and delete emails. Using a tablet is better than a laptop on mine to lay a blanket.
