There aren't many cages for a 6000 for a bargain price. Decided to give it a try. I am very impressed and happy with my purchase. I don't get very close to the camera body and only make contact where necessary. It doesn't add too much weight, but it does give you more to hold on to, so you'll feel a little more confident throwing your gear everywhere. I've used it on a monopod, poles and in my hand and it worked like a brick! In fact, I liked him so much that I never take him off the camera. In addition, SmallRig offers many accessories to adapt your rig to your needs. One downside: where the cage meets the body, there is no friction material (e.g. cork, rubber). Therefore, unless the cage and housing are as flush as possible, any constant side to side movement will loosen the set screw. It takes a little while to find the sweet spot. But once you do that, there won't be any real problems. Hope that helps.
