Review on 1AC-A1-II Fluke π‘ VoltAlert Non-Contact Voltage Tester by Bob Fasho
The product does not always detect voltage when it is present.
This item did not work when I opened the box. It included a "battery check" feature: the light flashed to indicate the battery was good. he did not respond to the live wire. If I wrapped a live wire around it - perhaps by increasing the field strength felt by the pen - it would beep. When I put it on a solid wire with no winding, it didn't release. I've tried various 120 and 240 VAC live wires, both with and without current flowing through them. The product is designed for 90-1000 VAC. no matter.
