A very useful item for home and work.

Good afternoon. A device for non-contact determination of the presence of alternating voltage came across Aliexpress two years ago and decided to order it, the price is quite adequate, and judging by the description, it can determine voltage up to 1000 volts without removing the insulation of the conductor, I ordered two, the second son he works as a power engineer. I received it and tested it at home, I was satisfied with the effect, although it does not always find hidden wiring in the walls,

The product does not always detect voltage when it is present.

This item did not work when I opened the box. It included a "battery check" feature: the light flashed to indicate the battery was good. he did not respond to the live wire. If I wrapped a live wire around it - perhaps by increasing the field strength felt by the pen - it would beep. When I put it on a solid wire with no winding, it didn't release. I've tried various 120 and 240 VAC live wires, both with and without current flowing through them. The product is designed for 90-1000 VAC. no…

    Sure, but not always useful

If you want this tool to detect whether the power is off or on, I find it satisfactory. If you intend to use it to determine which cable is powered by multiple, you may be disappointed. The sensitivity of this tool is high for safety reasons, but too sensitive to identify individual wires in electrical boxes or multiple Romex conductors or other cables. On a recent use, when I was fixing the wiring of a janitor's three-position switch, I couldn't tell which wire was getting power from the…

    Expected more from Fluke

Nobody would expect you to take out the batteries after every use, so they had to design this product with the expectation that the batteries would stay in for a long time. I'm not a professional electrician so I don't use this item often. Well when I used it recently but it didn't turn on. When I took off the battery cover, I suddenly discovered that the batteries had leaked. Normally this wouldn't be a problem if the batteries were housed in some sort of case to prevent chemicals from leaking

    annoying to use. - Electric

I've bought a more convenient AC voltage tester for 1/4 the price off Amazon before. . This Fluke 1ACII should be better, it's more sensitive and I can pick up hot wires in a twisted pair power cord, which is good (compared to my previous device). However, it is annoying to use in my opinion. 1st = no flashlight in nose (Needs to sort out tight wiring in dark places, .2ed._ when 'on', nose flashes continuously which is distracting and annoying. and confuses me into thinking I'm a hot wire or…

    Stupid indicator: Voltage tester

Completely stupid indicator and disgusting packaging. The indicator is supplied unsealed and with batteries inserted, of course not from the factory! not like the photo, which raises suspicions of originality. The inscriptions have been changed, the inscription "Made in Malaysia" has been added, in general this is not at all what I see when I buy it. The indicator itself works very strangely. The instructions and on its case state that it will respond to AC voltage in the 90-1000v range, in…

It should not be missing in any household

This page covers several editions of the Fluke sensor, to be clear, we are talking about 1AC-A1-II. For about 20 years I had an earlier version, 1AC-A. It lit up but didn't beep. And he was always there. He died after a second battery leak. That's right, even with it constantly on, a pair of AAA batteries lasted about 10 years. This one (1AC-A1-II) is not always on, it has a power switch. It has two modes: Sound and Silent. Use silent mode when you check in after the kids have fallen asleep, or

    I think I'm the "squelch " type

I'm not an electrician but I've long lost count of how many "little" electric ones Projects I have done for many years. I always try to use a voltage tester before drilling into existing wiring, although I do have a pair of wire cutters with that familiar little notch on the blade where I cut the live wire. My existing Klein tester eventually died after about 10 years and I didn't like the look of the new ones so I gave this model a try. I've always associated Fluke with nearly indestructible…

Best of Bad (Fluke 1AC-90 Test)

All non-contact voltage testers are a compromise. You can get one that is clear enough to avoid false readings, but then it has a very short range. You can get a sensitive sensor, but then false readings become a problem. and you can get one with variable sensitivity, but then it gets awkward and ambiguous. Since none of these options is clearly better than the others, all three types are available on the market from well-known manufacturers. Fluke belongs to the 1st category. It is not…
