Review on Flash Furniture Vibrant Drafting Tractor Furniture for Home Office Furniture by Stephanie Butler

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good deal but poor quality of the backrest

When I bought the Flash Furniture task chair I was initially hesitant about the fit and quality of the components, especially those related to the backrest. While the chair has worked well for the past four months, this afternoon the plastic component on the underside of the seat that attaches the posts to the backrest broke when I leaned against the backrest. Pros: - Surprisingly good videos. Rolls very smooth and easily on hard floors. - Smooth, constant height adjustment. - I liked the "tractor" style seat and found it comfortable to work for long periods of time. It promotes an upright posture and is probably why I've never had backrest issues. It's very difficult to find a chair that reaches this height, but it can be lowered to work on lower work surfaces. Despite the price, this is one of the few chairs I've been able to find with the same seat height range. Cons: - Durability. Only four months of use and the seat back broke. When assembling the seat back (the back slides over the posts without fixation) it became clear that this is the weakest part of the product. Verdict: This is a budget chair with an unusual variety of seat heights and works very well, except for the crappy backrest. As mentioned above, the seat of a tractor chair encourages an upright position, so the back of the seat does not often experience stress during normal use. I will most likely try to repair the backrest myself or remove it entirely and continue to use this chair as otherwise it is a great deal.
