I read a lot of reviews about this product not worth the money it's weak or something but I took a chance. If you assemble it correctly, it's not difficult, then everything will be fine! I use it as a mobile perch for my large blue and gold macaw who loves to be by my side when I'm at my desk. Once I got the screws properly tightened everything stayed in place and it's absolutely strong enough for a large bird. I wrapped the pole in duct tape and a great bandage because my macaw is old and I didn't want it to slide or freeze on the metal. This was just my preference but the perch is big enough to be a perch but if your birds have gripping issues this is a cheap easy fix for their comfort. I prefer the wooden sticks that get chewed up and destroyed! This is a great product. Oh, and someone said the tray wasn't big enough - whatever my bird drops come in the tray as it should.
