I did a lot of research looking for a stick with adjustable heat settings AND at a reasonable price that's surprisingly hard to find. I finally stumbled across this wand and thought it filled the bill. I have had and have been using wands for 7 years and it still required training. Somehow my hair got caught in the folding stand which then spoiled the curls. I also didn't consider that the tip of the wand doesn't get hot. At first it seemed good to have a second point to stabilize the barrel, but there is a ridge between the barrel and the plastic tip that also catches the curl when I pull the barrel back and confuses the curl. It generally does what I need it to do, but it's been frustrating to work around those issues.
