later This should be an economical air filter as it is refilled with oil. It is also intended to prevent premature engine wear from flying particles on their way to the manifold. This filter lets that debris fly by. With use and after some testing, no performance gain was noticed. I really wish I could just buy a Purolator filter to start with. Unbiased parallel testing has shown this to be the best filter tested. Lasts 12 months and works great. Just recently ordered. Honestly, stay away from their air filters. I don't know what environment they're intended for, but definitely not the Midwest.
