Holds 10 pounds of uncooked rice. Very compact and the square or rectangular shape is always an additional space gain for each container. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the handle on the lid is only used to open the container. What I said was misleading at first because I thought I could lift the bin with this handle, unfortunately I can't! The handle is actually a latch. This is a limitation. A handle would be useful for lifting such heavy 10 lb containers. I have it stacked in my kitchen so I have to physically lift/move the top bin to get to the bottom one. If you don't need to move yours, you're done.
