Review on πŸ‘£ Cressi Tall Neoprene Boots for Snorkeling, Scuba Diving, Canyoning - Isla: Italian-designed in 5 & 7 mm Neoprene by Brandon Battaglia

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great for some but not for those seeking water retention.

Generally a great boot for diving and rocky beach/coast walks. They are comfortable, have a non-slip sole and are well sewn. Lots of people will like them. The only thing I didn't like was that each shoe has two drainage holes. This is useful if you get in and out of the water frequently, but it completely neutralizes the neoprene's anti-wash properties and causes me to lose a really lot of heat. In the winter my job sometimes requires me to swim in 40-50F water in Long Island Sound and stay fairly warm in a 6mm wetsuit and 5mm hood/gloves/boots. I have used several different boots and these would be my favorites if it weren't for these holes. You're constantly pushing water through the boot as you move your feet, flushing away the thin layer of warm water between you and the neoprene. These holes are NOT in the photos above so I added my own. I bought them through Amazon Prime and they came with holes in the picture. Maybe get a pair without them?

Pros
  • The thickness of the boot provides rigidity while retaining warmth.
Cons
  • Vulgarity
