I bought this to use with the FORScan software on a 2000 Ford 7.3 Powerstroke Diesel. after downloading the drivers for Win 8/10, the combination works great! This adapter has the correct implementation of the chip and interface with higher speed capabilities to perform real-time diagnostics. FORScan is a software scanner for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles and is a free download for Windows. It can perform the "Injector Buzz" and CCT (Cylinder Contribution) tests specific to PCM 7.3 and 6.0. In addition, it also monitors and displays PerDel (Crankshaft Delay Percentage) for each cylinder, which is extremely useful for diagnosing various Ford Powerstroke engine problems. The software can monitor all sensors in real time. such as ICP, IPR, EOT, ECT, Voltages etc. It has logging, display (O-Scope) and other functions.
