Great Value Great CPU

I bought this item after about 1 month, changed my old Phenom II X2 550. Windows 7 is not yet ready for this processor but there are fixes for it, I download them from the official site and my new fx8150 works fine. I test my processor almost every day. Test results: CPU AMD fx8150 Black EditionRAM Kingston HyperX 1600MHz. 2X4 gbMoBo Asus M5A97crystalMark (my old Phenom II) ALU 24687FPU 24130MEM 17879 my new FX8150ALU 48271FPU 43570MEM 51718 I get all these points at standard frequency. I don't use Turbo Core technology. That means my processor is running at 3600MHz. Of course, these estimates are better with a turbo core. Results are better when using multithreaded applications. For single-threaded applications, the tests do not differ much from the old PhenomII cache and memory tests: Cache Read 8283 Write 9906 Copy 11077 Lag 8.1FX 8150: Read Memory 13727 Write 10152 Copy 17846 Lag 48.3L1 Cache Read 133851 Write 23485 Copy 46860 Lag 1.0L2 Read 39082 Write 19792 Cachel3 Copy Latrate 36082 39082 Write 19794 Replica 36022 Latratain 5.3l3 Cache. 16269 latency 7.7 I am happy. This processor is enough for normal and super normal multitasking. I was interested what would happen if I open 50 movies at the same time with Gom Player, I opened it, the processor load was 57% or less.

Pros
  • AMD Turbo Core Technology: Incredible speed to get the job done. Provides dynamic core performance boost based on user workload at frequencies up to 900MHz faster.
Cons
  • Hard to say
