Due to the recall of Chevy Bolt batteries we are unable to charge them in our garage until GM replaces the battery and the wall charge cable is too short. We bought this extension because it is made in the USA and fits the code. This is important because while the connectors are essentially the same across brands, the cable and how the connectors connect differs. The cable never gets hot and charging times are normal. Tip: If you run the cable under your garage door, place a small piece of wood next to it to prevent the door from pinching the cable. It would probably be fine, but it's 240 volt wire, not conduit. I had an initial problem with the bushing, but the manufacturer replaced it for free. Service and Support, FTW.
