This product does not include the sliding bar firing mechanism as shown in the pictures. Instead, you end up with a stuck all-metal part that may not be suitable for your application. Support eventually responded and said to go through the Amazon pages to report problems. Despite other reviews, I see no reason why this product shouldn't work on the left or right hand door.
