I used this mic for about a year and then it mysteriously stopped working. Have tried new batteries and tried on different devices. It only works when connected to the input of a mixer. The only thing I can surmise is that one of the crew members left it on and it burned the power side of the system. I used it to record informational and instructional videos with a small Canon digital camcorder. The sound quality was pretty good for a mic for under $20. It was used as the violin microphone for the Christmas special. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality it gave me. Of course I wouldn't use it for a big professional show, but it worked for my production. I would recommend this to amateur producers or vloggers. That's a good value for a dcent product, even if you're only going to use it for a year.
