I have been using this model in my car for at least four years. That's great. It's understandable that my original lost suction after about 2 years so I bought another one and it lasted about a year before it came loose on a very hot day and wasn't sticky anymore. I went without them for a while (because they were getting harder and harder to find) and ended up buying a new one a few weeks ago. The suction cup wasn't sticky so it was useless to me. I sent it back for exchange and the same thing happened. Non-sticky, definitely will not stick to dashboard. But if you stick it on the windshield, then it's ok. I think their range is getting old and if you're not lucky you won't find one that's still tacky. That's very bad because otherwise it's a pretty good design.
