I bought the M720 specifically because it can be used on multiple systems. I used the M510 for a few years previously and I particularly liked its design. It was a regular five-button mouse, and the two side buttons I use to move around the browser were spaced apart, making them easily distinguishable by touch. On the other hand, the M720 has three buttons on the side of the mouse, two of which are used by default to move back and forth in the browser window, and a button to toggle between any of the three systems that this mouse can be connected to. It's designed for ease of use when navigating these systems, but I found it poorly designed as the buttons are quite small and all linked together so it can be difficult to see them by touch. There is also a small protrusion on the edge of the top of the mouse just above the button. I've posted a photo where you can see a bit of this coat of arms. The problem I have is that the side buttons are just below that ledge, so there's essentially a ridge covering the top of the buttons and that makes it hard to tell which button is which, strictly by touch . I repeatedly pressed the wrong buttons, especially the button to switch between systems. Finally, also on the side of the mouse, but at the base of the mouse, there is another button that shows a small preview of all open windows. you currently have, so you can easily switch between them. I also found this button annoying as I often accidentally clicked it and opened the preview window when I changed mouse position. Overall, I found this mouse's button design so frustrating that it was unsuitable for my particular needs. So I returned it and replaced it with another M510 which I will be using in conjunction with the software solution for use on several of my systems.
