I mounted this pair of headlights on my 2005 Ram 1500 and they are BRIGHT. They make everything behind me clearly visible, including the edge of my driveway on a pitch black winter night! I had an officer on duty who remarked that he could clearly read my license plate from 100 feet away as long as my headlights were on. It just means I won't get pulled over for a hidden license plate! It only took me about 5 minutes to install them and I didn't need any tools. I just pulled out the old bulbs, put the adapter in the old bulb's socket and put the housing back in. Beautifully fastened with existing screws. Easiest light upgrade I've ever done.
