Review on Stay Warm and Agile with Aqua Sphere Stingray Core Warmer by Jeremy Sabey

Great wetsuit for a cold thin kid

I have four girls on the swim team and they swim in the large lap pool, the is cold. Older girls have no problem but my 7 year old was miserable. Her lips were blue and her teeth chattered every time she went out, to the point where she cried that she didn't want to go swimming because she was so cold and asked to leave the team and herself came up with all sorts of reasons. skip or slow down so she's late. I bought some rash guards, long sleeve swimsuits and wetsuits to keep them warm. This is one of my two favorites. The suit is well made and holding up well and there's no reason to think it won't continue to do so. Durable stitching won't rip or fall apart when you try to put it on or take it off. There is a tab at the back of the zipper to prevent it from getting caught on the zipper. The pink area is a thick thermal lining that keeps the core warm. The blue area is actually as thin as the rash so I'm not sure how much it's really helping her, but it seems to be helping. Maybe it's just the power of suggestion. A lighter fabric means there are no creases or chafing in her armpits and she can move freely while swimming (unlike another suit I've bought which has strong arms and legs). I treat it like a bathing suit: I rinse it with cold water, soak it in a bucket of water for 30 minutes, wrap it in a towel and lay it out to dry. It dries very quickly, even when one of the girls unfolds it and skips the towel part. One of these you want to order down. My daughter is very slim, of average height. She wears a size 7, sometimes a size 8. I ordered a size 6 and it's quite large, but I'm sure going down a size won't be the length she needs. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again!
