My 5 month old loves this rattle. It's easy to pick up and makes a nice rattling sound like little mini beads inside. It's plastic so I gave it a 4, wish it was something softer if possible because the baby still doesn't have full control of his movements and is banging his face and mouth. He started playing with him when he was about 4 months old, but I sometimes put him off until he got his movements under control. Bought this item to take a picture of a baby in a tank top for Father's Day. By law, my siblings, my husband and everyone else loved the way he looked with the rattle. They were so happy to see a kid with a bun and a dumbbell. Supervision is very flows. Because the child can hit itself, maybe even break it, or know too much if the child has teeth. The floor fell down 3 times in time, but luckily it hasn't cracked yet.
