Take your time. Please read my review it will help

Update my kettle is now on a Walmart timer set to 3 times during the day and once at night for half an hour each. . I have found that the best way to use this product is: 1 Remember this is not instant heating, hot water will leak. 2 on for about 20 minutes. Switch off. The thermostat does not detect heat well due to the bond between the hot water tank and the thermostat.3 Make sure to turn the water back on after installation and fill the hot water tank before turning on the heating. Otherwise

This is literally the best purchase I have ever made for my RV

. Not only does this save a ton of money on LP, but I can now take a FULL hot water shower at full power, which I could never do with my RV. It actually doesn't use much power at all because the thermostat is very accurate and the water heats up so quickly and this allows me to increase the water temperature which means I use less to get to my desired temperature. that means MORE SOUL! (Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh…

I made everything myself!

I had an instance where a ton of soot came out of my hot water tank and it really scared me so I looked at my options and the quickest and easiest option was to buy this hybrid water heater kit. Installation took 4 hours but that was because I didn't have the right tools. So make sure you have the right tools and it will probably only take you an hour. Make sure you read the instructions as it leaked at first and I couldn't figure out why after reading the instructions it became clear why it…

Water heaters did not disappoint

It works very well. It's great not having to burn propane when I'm hooked up at a campground or using a guest RV at my home. A few things to note when installing: The thermostatic block that you attach to the side of your tank that allows you to set the temperature has a built in safety shut off if it senses the tank is getting hotter than intended. That's great, but if you're unplugged and you're heating your tank with propane, and that causes the water to get hotter than the hybrid heating…

Works great for everyday use!

I received this product on time. I was a little concerned when it arrived as it was only in a display case and padded envelope. My husband is a master mechanic and installed it very easily. At first I was concerned. I thought I couldn't. After about 70 minutes my husband realized he had never turned the knob to fill the tank. So we turned it off for 20-30 minutes and then refilled it. After about 90 minutes we had HOT water! He hooked it up somehow so we could switch from propane to propane if…

Works great and saves LPG. High quality product. Definitely recommend.

Very happy with this conversion kit. It holds the LP burner and thermostat in place and adds an electric heating element through the hole in the drain plug. Everything you needed was there, even the cable ties. The schematic was color coded and all the wires and connectors were color coded. The power cord was several feet long, as was the cord that connected to the backlit power button. All spare parts are of high quality. The thermostat is a standard water heater unit, so if it fails, it can…

No Substitute for Propane

I installed this kit in hopes I could go without propane when camping with hookups. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem powerful enough to heat the entire tank. It was fine for quick jobs like washing my hands and face or doing dishes, but I still have to use propane to shower or bathe my dog. One thing I haven't considered is the fact that I have a 30 amp camper. and the outlets next to the tank don't match the type of current this thing draws, so he turned the switch off. For me this was an easy…

great hack! Best Water Heaters, Parts & Accessories

Installed in/on an old 1977 Unitrol/Robertshaw 6 gallon water heater that eventually gave out (propane light no longer lit). I wish I had known about this hack years ago! We live in our old 1977 little comfort trailer all the time at the park/campervan (life is rough for a lot of people right now, that's sad!). The power is on and not metered, so this hack is a no-brainer! The element rod is screwed directly into the drain plug without an adapter. In order to install/make room for the thermos I

A must have upgrade for your wheeled water heater.

This is a must-have upgrade for anyone who owns a camper or RV with a propane water heater. I spend a lot of time in my 38ft RV during the spring, summer, and fall, but have always hesitated to turn on the water heater because it uses up my propane. It doesn't bother me anymore! Now I can use as much hot water as I want. I too can always keep a tank of hot water handy! I don't have to schedule an hour or more to get hot water to wash dishes or shower. It is great! With my 200 Ah solar panel I…
