I've been looking for an affordable dog carrier that fits a 14 lb dog, fits on my bike and feels sturdy. This block mostly does its job. Easy to assemble, easy to put on and take off the bike, but I often check the straps while riding as they tend to slip a bit. The collar attachment is cheap and flimsy so I keep the dog on a leash and available in case I need to grab him when he tries to walk. So far he has only tried once unsuccessfully to get out at the beginning. Now he sits proud and loves to ride. Another small issue with the pocket on the front of the basket is that the velcro on the unit is too high. I had to add some clips for the binding to make sure it was closed when I just had my keys and phone in my pocket. If you carry a lot of things you will be fine, but not if you only carry a few things. For an inexpensive carrier (compared to very strong, well-made carriers) that fits a 14-pound dog well, this works. He can't look all the way ahead, but doesn't seem to mind. He can sit, feel the wind on his face and enjoy the view. However, watch out for hits. The holder will move and possibly detach from the front bar - be careful.
