This product forces you to use special source material (such as CD+G discs and readable flash drives) to simultaneously transmit vocals and video through an AV amplifier. You'll also need to use the RCA mic jacks on the back of this unit to connect it to an AV amplifier if you want vocals to be heard through stereo speakers. You can't just take audio vocals from any other audio output including HDMI which carries both audio and video signals when using Wi-Fi karaoke video from YouTube etc. To make matters worse, connecting your HDMI output to video on your amp or TV (or any red and white RCA audio output) will mute your singing out of the dedicated microphone jacks on the back panel, when trying to get karaoke audio and video on the same amp setting when trying to use online sources for music. Therefore, in order to use this product, you need to buy expensive discs or readable sources.
