Review on Enhanced Suspension Bearing Service πŸ”§ Tool by Motion Pro - Model 08-0294 by Ron Josey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Nice set but broke after first use

I bought this tool after doing a lot of research on changing bearings and different tools/methods to do it. This was my first bearing change on my newly purchased dirt bike, so I went with the Motion Pro Deluxe Bearing Kit. It had a bit of a learning curve for someone with no experience changing bearings, but with YouTube videos and basic instructions I was able to squeeze out the bearings. I ran into a problem using a blind bearing tool on my connecting link and the tool broke after removing the second bearing. This tool is designed to expand inside the bearing and then pull it out. The part that expands is in four parts, and one of the parts broke off when the second bearing was removed from it (after removal). I contacted the seller (Classic Cycle Parts) and they said I need warranty service through Motion Pro. The tool, which is sold individually, costs about $35. After using this tool, you can create your own for a fraction of the cost, and there are plenty of videos on YouTube showing how to do it. Once you understand how it works, all you need is a thread, some nuts, washers and bushings. EDIT: I contacted Motion Pro's warranty department about a defective blind bearing puller and they said it was my fault. it broke it which i disagreed with but they offered 50% off a replacement and free shipping. I need a tool so I paid for a replacement. Pay attention to the tool for blind bearings. According to Motion Pro, I either overstretched the tool or misaligned it in the bearing causing it to break. It broke at the second bearing so be careful you don't do what they most likely say about me (believe theirs). You'd think a bearing removal tool would be more durable, but caution is advised with a blind MP bearing tool.
