The instructions are very short... But if you can't figure it out... No need to buy or do anything yourself... Always! There's a grip rating, but that's stupid because there's nothing to attach. The product works great... Doesn't generate heat... Very easy to install... A few things to note... The smoother and more even your curves, the better it works! Very smooth light transitions... The application code is on the transformer itself... Works very well and always. I'd say the wiring for the plug adapter sucks... Did mine behind the dash, opened the box and soldered quality connections... Will last longer than a car
