Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Enerzen High Capacity Commercial Ozone Generator 11,000mg Industrial Strength Air Purifier - Gray by Amanda Collins

Efficient, powerful, cheap, small, very neat

I've been using this on our townhouse for the past two weeks to finish it up for sale and to get rid of cigarette smells from the last occupant. It does exactly what it's supposed to do: eject a lot of ozone very quickly in a very small form factor. Whether this ozone will do what you hope it will is another matter. The principle of how I believe all ozone generators work is to use a conductive grid on top of a non-conductive ceramic plate that is electrified with high voltage. not thousands of little violet arcs that create ozone like lightning. It's nice to see how the combined effect is a uniform sizzling purple glow throughout the box. When I first used it the bottom center of the reticle was dark (er, I hope it's not dead) but after three hours of use the entire reticle is now evenly lit. I think electricity is cool, but don't worry, it's not a fire or shock hazard unless you do something stupid like turn on the natural gas or drop it in the bathtub. The device does not generate heat. It doesn't vibrate. Fan noise is the dominant noise, not the hiss of electricity. This is my first ozone generator so I can't compare it to other brands or models. I have no idea if it actually produces 9000mg of ozone per hour. I have no idea if it's 50% more potent than the 6000mg version. I don't know how long that will take. But as far as ozone production goes, I think it does it very well. It produces it like a jet turbine exhaust. Because ozone eliminates odors, it works. only for light fragrances. Our tenant was told not to smoke indoors, but she smoked anyway because she cared too much about taking care of her addiction to waste time going outside. She tried to sneak a couple of cigarettes into the bathroom with the fan on, but she couldn't hide it. Smoking even one cigarette will envelop the room in this smell for a long time, and this will be obvious to anyone who has not had a sense of smell destroyed by years of smoking. We cleaned the bathroom and painted the walls but it didn't help reduce the smell. However, a three-hour ozone shock treatment followed by 24-hour operation of a closed fan throughout the bathroom removed all smoke odors except for the farting fan. Those fan blades seemed to be collecting tar, as turning it on gives a brief whiff of cigarette smell before being sucked back up and through the roof, so we attempted a second three-hour electroshock treatment right in the washroom with the door closed and the fan farting. on the. This helped, but still didn't completely eliminate the fan odor, so we did a third shock treatment before moving on to the basement/entire townhouse (2400 sq ft). Ozone takes so long to dissipate even after the unit has been aired with the windows open for 24 hours. The ozone just soaks into anything good as it will seek and destroy, but I wouldn't recommend ozone treatment if you plan on showing the device to potential buyers in less than a week; You will fully perceive the smell of ozone. So how does three hours of use from this unit cope with the entire 2400 square foot three-story townhouse? Foot? Fur. Ozone is heavier than ordinary air, so it definitely sinks to the basement. It is important that the central fan runs continuously. Three hours later there was even a smell of ozone upstairs, and the smell in the basement was many times stronger. It is unlikely that it will be possible to effectively remove a slight smell of cigarettes from the entire townhouse at once. It's better to isolate individual rooms, but with a generator that would take forever. It's best to have lots of fans blowing ozone to the ceiling where most of the smoke rises and condenses. Leave the treatment area covered for at least 24 hours while the ozone continues to work. He'll be a little late, so let him do his job. If the bathroom fan is still giving off a brief odor after all I've done, I'll take it apart and spray it with Vamoose, my back-up plan. Conclusion: These devices are so small, cheap and efficient that it is difficult to justify larger and more expensive models. I don't know what the actual generation rate is, but why bother if it's 9000mg, 6000mg or even less when you can just run this device longer and multiple times, or if you're really in a hurry, buy more than one. The half-life of ozone is about 3 days at normal humidity, making the rate of formation in just one hour relatively negligible. It is very effective against light stains. Heavy stains require actual surface treatment (kilz primer, vamoose) or surface removal (sanding to drywall, carpet replacement, etc.). Also keep in mind that you'll probably only use this thing a few times.
