Great printer for Windows, Android tablets and mobile phones that support Wi-Fi printing

Unpacking and setting up Windows 7 Home Premium for the first time was a lot easier than I thought. Wi-Fi and USB connections were almost effortless. Connection to my Android phone and tablet was free. The Hammermill Print app and the Epson Print app have discovered the printer. I got an SD over USB driver error when trying to install the driver, but I think it's because I didn't have an SD card in the slot and most likely never will. It probably kicks in when I first insert the SD card, or it could be a Windows 7 issue, but it's a feature I would never use. Apart from that it works very well. The initial setup of the printheads is a little tedious but necessary and doesn't really take much time, just a few pages of paper. The CD/DVD printer software that comes with this printer is excellent! Finally someone has written a DVD/CD printing program that is easy to use, intuitive and gives great results on inkjet CDs/DVDs. I still use third party inlay printing software. The print quality is excellent, the colors are great. The ink can be a bit pricey (Epson 410XL) but as I use it for CD/DVD and insert printing 90% of the time and not my standard printer I can live with that. I found a third party 410XL ink on Revain.com that actually had a 5 star rating for this printer and was very cheap for a set of all 5 cartridges. I hope these third party cartridges perform as well as they are rated. We will see . I don't use Windows 10, but others who review this printer find that it can be used with Windows 10.

Pros
  • Ultimate wireless Plus Ethernet printing of photos and documents directly from your tablet or smartphone (3); Includes Wi-Fi Direct for free network printing (4)
Cons
  • I don't really like anything, everything is fine
