Solid base and smooth wooden handle

Got it last weekend. I've tried scratching the metal base with my nails, nothing has come off, so it's either well galvanized cast iron or solid stainless steel, definitely not aluminum by weight. If it peels or rusts, it will be updated later. Since the wooden handle has a metal screw at the base, I add a drop of vegetable oil to stop corrosion, whether it's stainless steel or not. Edit March 27, 2021 After 2 months of daily use I have concluded that it is indeed 100% stainless steel. No peeling or any weird blemishes or discoloration.
