I bought this set of end mills, actually two, because I wanted to give my grandma a Mother's Day present for my new CNC machine. I needed a long endmill to finish the smaller portions of the part and it would take too long for a major manufacturer to get one, so I gritted my teeth and gave it a try. I've seen others say they can only get 30 of these so I didn't know what to expect. I have some experience with micro milling, so I knew it would be a little difficult to get it working, but in the end it's not difficult at all if you follow the basic principles of milling. You need a HARD machine capable of running at VERY HIGH RPM (I ran it at 10,000) and coolant for everything to work properly. I just broke a continuity in feeds and speeds. DO NOT BE LESS THAN 0.0005 per tooth ALLOWED (THIS IS A 2 TOOTH end mill) as THIS WILL CAUSE FRICTION, and FRICTION on microcuts = BREAKAGE. I took 10,000 rpm at 10 inches per minute with a MAX DEP of 0.01 and a MAX DEP of 0.005 high speed machining with the Fusion 360. Half an hour of cutting on a single end mill with no breakage in AL! For less than $2 per tool!
