I was thinking of getting an electric sharpener for my Sudee Stile Pencil 150 set (many pencils need to be handmade) but then I thought of the noise and the batteries and the cord, which made me take another look at this sharpener. The great reviews and demos of this pencil sharpener on YouTube are true in my opinion. So that you can see the results, I'm attaching a picture of the crayons (1) blunt/unsharpened, out of the box, (2) sharpened with a blunt tip, red button pressed, and (3) very finely sharpened, red button pressed. The smooth feel of the sharpener plus the fact that I know the pencil is being held straight while filing makes it a pleasure to use. The only downside would be the lack of a weighted base or suction cup mechanism to attach it so you don't have to hold it with one hand. And although the product's name says "imported from Japan", it is made in China, but that does not mean that it is poorly assembled and has no good workmanship; It seems very strong and holds a lot of chips. But overall this is a really good sharpener!
