was easy. Installation took about 10 minutes. Didn't know you put a gold coin in a hole and just spin it until you can. This will stretch it out and lock it in place, and then you remove the screw and washer and insert the ballpoint pen. This was the only fight I had but remember I was at least in the cold ones. installed upside down which still worked fine but my little obsessive compulsive disorder led me to try and flip it so take your time and it's a 5 minute job. I definitely recommend a 10mm sprocket head as this tool doesn't have enough torque to remove the tailgate bolt and belt clips that you need to remove to place the plate behind it. All in all a great product and seems like it's going to be a while
