Review on πŸ”¦ HouLight High Power UV LED Black Light Flood Light IP65-Waterproof for Blacklight Party Supplies, Neon Glow, Birthdays, Blacklights, Curing by Dean Ledet

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Honest reviews and good quality

I used to use incandescent blacklights but recently switched to these LED blacklights. I use them primarily for small to medium spaces, typically the size of a two car garage (less than 200 square feet). Here is a list of black lights that I have purchased from Revain.1. 70w incandescent bulb, i used an incandescent bulb to light up a room, inefficient light and it looked dim, the wattage was honest but after a few minutes it got very hot and i stopped using it. 2. The 18w UV light panel was purchased from Revain from another seller, worked well but had a dishonest rating (20% lower than advertised).3. The HouLight 10W UV lamp was very efficient and worked to my satisfaction, and two lamps illuminated the area quite well (perhaps even one lamp would do). Good quality and measured performance as advertised. Does not get very hot during use. Highly recommended.4. I bought a very similar looking 10W LED downlight from another manufacturer. At first I thought it looked pretty much the same as my HouLight, but after looking very closely I found that the LED chips were smaller, the cable was much thinner and the wattage was dishonest (10% lower). In general, the light is of lower quality and is not recommended. In summary I found the LED lights at Revain to be dishonest in wattage as lay people don't usually have the tools to discredit what is advertised, it's still prevalent at Revain and more. and high power LEDs. So I bought a power meter to measure all the LED lights in my house. In any case, performance is not the only virtue, but rather represents the light output of the most common LEDs. As a rule of thumb, a 50W LED (black light or not) is almost the size of a shoebox due to heat requirements and whatnot - you get the point. So I wouldn't trust a cheap and small high power LED (black light or not) as it can't defy physics. I will also never buy from the same seller again if their LEDs have incorrect reviews. Here, too, high wattages do not have to be used for small to medium-sized rooms anyway, since 10-20W LEDs are usually sufficient. With black light this is quite difficult as there isn't much visible light (well it's UV). You can use them in the dark with fluorescent tapes and neon paint or similar things to decorate the room, then the power of light will be revealed and the decorations will glow wildly even at a long distance.
