"Squeaker" in the toy has not made itself felt. Quality control was a bit lacking, although honestly I think a bell or shaker would have been more appropriate and stimulating as the sound elements. Expecting a child to activate a squeaker is a bit excessive. This is just a cute stuffed toy in the shape of a rattle. There are things I like: it's soft, the kid can hold it. If the body were a little thinner it would be even easier to hold, but my little nephew holds it with no problem. In fact, he doesn't know how to let it go yet. I like the sharp contrast in the facial features that allows a child with imperfect vision to focus on the facial features. I like little hands to hold on to. The velvet-like fabric that makes up the body and the fleece-like fabric found elsewhere are very soft. Washing Instructions - Hand wash and air dry which makes sense. I urge everyone to cut off the labels attached to the toy. They are quite big and one has sharp corners. I had a bad experience when a child scratched the callus when his little hands fiddled with a toy that had a tag sticking out (like this one). Delete after reading.
