In the photos they are much "white" in the background. Unfortunately, they actually have a dirty beige background - so I'm disappointed. Another disappointment is that the back of the pads is made of a very thin cotton material. My heavy memory foam pillows are very difficult to push in without tearing. Although I really like the bird print, I would like a whiter background or a very soft ivory, but in general I would like the material on the back to be a much better quality. A fake at this price should be better. The material of the front print is very similar to coarse cotton linen. I haven't washed them yet - and I'm a bit worried about the material. Still wondering if it's worth returning.
