Review on 🚗 Black Westin Light Bar 30-0025 by Byron Elliott

This is the perfect light bar for my 2002 Ford Ranger XLT 4.0L 4WD with torsion bar front suspension. With the "Westin 30-1165 Light Bar Mount Kit" the installation was very easy and it fits on the Ranger frame. like a glove. No holes had to be drilled, no modifications had to be made. This pole can be installed and removed with no indication it was ever there and I really appreciate that. Based on other reviews I thought the packaging would be very poor and dented or scratched but I was really very impressed! (or maybe lucky) The outer box is pretty flimsy and only held together with a couple of plastic ties, but the rod itself inside is very well wrapped in bubble wrap and styrofoam. found, flawless painting! The bar itself is actually very light. I bet that's why Westin calls it a light bar and not a bull/push bar. bigger than the actual strip!) I put a 26" light strip on mine and it frames the front license plate perfectly so it's still clearly visible. One thing I don't understand is why the lightstrip mounting holes are so huge. I had to modify my 26" lightbar mounting hardware with huge 1 1/4 washers to give the mounts something to hook into. I bet you also need to go to a hardware store to install your headlights. I recommend installing large washers as well as large rubber washers to protect the gloss black finish. Overall I am very happy with my purchase. I've seen bars and mounting kits that cost almost twice as much, so I feel like I got a pretty good discount on them through Amazon.
