I bought these boots in April this year to replace a pair of boots I was using. (I was happy with the boots used, just wanted to try something new.) I work in retail. I'm on my feet 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. I don't think I'm particularly picky about shoes, but I do go out a lot, so I expect them to at least stand up to various conditions like rain and snow. but then it felt good when they were worn. They were a little difficult to put on but the zipper helped and I realized how easy they are to put on. I never had a problem with anything poking or chafing my boot until a week had passed. on the spot I had to use a shoehorn or something thin to let the foot in without pressing on that part. I thought I could handle it because once I make it stop I won't feel anything else. The boot has a lining that is sewn to the outside of the boot and then inserted into the boot to make it look almost like a sock. All real seams are inside the boot making it more comfortable. However, this liner is in no way attached to the inner toe of the boot. So if it decides to stick to your foot while you are trying to take it off like it happened to me, it will try to detach. This lining pressed my heel against the collar of my boot, and no matter how hard I tried to pull it out, I couldn't free myself. I cut a slit where it will snag on the heel to allow the fabric to flex a bit to get it off my foot. At the same time, she pulled the support part of the heel, which was damaged, tearing off about half of it. . I was able to pull out some of these parts (pictured above) to see what that part of the heel was made of. it's a kind of molded plastic, like the heels of tennis shoes. I have to say I am very sad that these boots only lasted 7 months. I can't say for sure that this is a good buy. I don't think what happened to my couple will happen to everyone, but I was lucky that I shot them at home where I had access to a knife and nothing happened.
